ABOUT ME
I am Rodrigo González, a multidisciplinary artist, audio engineer, and researcher fascinated by the journey sound undertakes: from its birth as a subtle intention, until it transforms into energy and understanding within the human mind.
My path in the art of sound took a formal basis in 2017 when I graduated as an Audio Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Since then, my curiosity has pushed me to go beyond musical production to understand what truly happens within us when we listen. I am currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Musical Cognition at the Faculty of Music of UNAM, where I dedicate myself to researching the neurophysiological and affective responses that music awakens, translating that invisible movement into signals and data that help us better understand ourselves.
For me, science and sensitivity are not separate; they are two ways of observing the same cosmic order. Analyzing the brain's electrical activity is another way of contemplating how word and vibration physically transform us.
Alongside technology and clinical research, my practice is deeply nourished by movement and roots. Since 2021, I began to walk in different circles of traditional Mexica dance and to experiment with drum singing. These disciplines are my anchor to the present, a living way to materialize thought, elevate the vibration of the vocal cords, and share the path of the flower and song.
Luz Neural is the meeting point of all these facets. It is the space where engineering, art, neuroscience, and the awareness that everything is in constant evolution converge.
